“Pretty for Fall” or Anytime

My latest ensemble for Gina can be worn anytime, I think.  The color palette is slightly muted and it includes a beret which are fall-ish elements, but you can replace the beret with a hair ribbon and the boots with a pair of shoes and this ensemble could be worn in the spring, couldn’t it?

pretty for fall 378The sweater and hat set are knit with lace weight natural colored merino wool yarn.  I added white glass pearls for the buttons which tie in nicely with the warm white lace.  The lace is a fine cotton Cluny lace that was made in England.  The ribbons are rayon and were hand dyed along with the tights.

Gina looks so sweet looking up at me.

Your little fashions are always adorable as is your Diane Effner doll. Is this doll about the same size as Tonner’s Patsy? You don’t do many outfits for Patsy, do you?

Hi Rita and thank you. Patsy is smaller than the Little Darlings. No, I haven’t made anything for Patsy in a while. I really should, thanks for reminding me.

      Hello Catherine,
Thanks so much. Gina did enjoy modeling this for me, but she is happy that another Little Darling will be adding it to her wardrobe. Gina already has her eye on what I am working on next for her to model.

    Hi Cindy,
Oh my goodness! This is the sweetest little set for Gina! It’s a good thing each thing you make is cuter than the last or Gina might rebel when she has to give them up each time!
I love the softness of these colors and want one for myself!
    Beautiful, just beautiful!
    Blessings, Jeanne

Thanks so much, Jeanne! I always feel bad taking the outfit from Gina when I need to get it mailed to a new Little Darling. I swear I see a tear or two. LOL! However, there is always a new outfit coming along… and my Gina loves new things.

White is always so pretty especially with delicate little rosebuds, lace and glass pearl buttons. Her hat and sweater is so cute and looks perfect on sweet Gina.
